Hi Fellow-Bakers! I like to cook, bake, etc. and have recently gotten more into baking cakes...not so much into elaborate decorating, like the "pros" do, but more just for eating . I usually use fresh fruit, like strawberries, on top and to decorate.
What do you ladies like to bake/cook? It's always fun to exchange ideas/recipes/hints. Let's talk!

I also love to cook and bake I am new this message board  thing I had joined not to long ago I also like scrapbooking. would love to meet new friend here. It has been a long time for me being on the computer. I had back surgery and now I am home sure wish I could find some new friends in arkansas. or friends to write to. I also love to cook. I enjoy making cakes,cookies and candy. I am presently taking cake decorating classes. I enjoy learning how and why you use different tips. I am slow but I still enjoy it.

Keep playing. Especially this time of year....you will find so many willing vitims...I mean foodies! LOL Try various on line websites for new recipes and ideas, new cookbooks (yard sales usually have good one for good prices) and just keep baking, candy making etc. until you get the desired results. Have fun!

I use to do cake decorating years ago and just started back playing with it a little. I made little pumpkin cakes and gave them to my kids and grand kids to enjoy when I started out I just made a big batch of icing and just sat and practiced stars and my flowers, roses and at micheals they carry wilton books and in them they use to have a home course study that you could order and they would send you everything you needed in the box your course book your pan,bags,tips ect with the course amount. I now have sometime on my hands and would like to get back into it but I am not sure if the wilton books still offer the courses. I use to buy the single serving pans for different holidays and I would practice on thoses also plus you do not have alot of cake around the house not good for if you are not trying to eat alot of sweets although it smells yummy in the house lol. Thanks I will look into it I cannot get around to good because of back surgery thats why I wanted home courses this will give me something to do when I want to take a break from scrapbooking Thanks again for the information. Joanne
